👤 Tell Us Your Name & Pick a Nudge Tone

A 3-step onboarding sets up your personal Rouutine experience — takes under a minute.

  • Enter your first name — creatures will use it when nudging you
  • Pick a Nudge Tone: 🌸 Gentle, ⚡ Energetic, or 🤣 Funny
  • Gentle is calm and warm. Energetic is motivating. Funny is playful.
  • You can change your tone anytime in Settings
  • Allow notification permission when prompted — essential for nudges

🐾 Build Your First Routine

Add a routine for any part of your day — morning, afternoon, or evening. Each routine gets its own creature companion.

  • Tap the + button on the Home screen
  • Enter a title (e.g. 'Morning Walk', 'Study Block')
  • Set a time and select which days it repeats
  • Choose a creature — each has a suggested default routine
  • Save — your routine appears on the Home timeline

🔔 Get Nudged & Build Your Streak

At the scheduled time, your creature sends a notification. Complete or snooze — your streak is tracked either way.

  • Notification arrives at the routine's scheduled time
  • Tap to open the full Moment screen
  • Tap Done — confetti flies, streak grows 🔥
  • Tap Snooze for a gentle reminder later
  • Check your streak and badges in the Progress screen

Common Questions

Does Rouutine need internet?
No — Rouutine is fully offline. All routines, streaks, and creature nudges work without any internet connection. Notifications use Android's local AlarmManager, not a cloud service.
Will notifications arrive if my phone is restarted?
Yes. Rouutine automatically reschedules all active routine alarms when your phone boots. Make sure to allow the app's notification and exact alarm permissions for reliable delivery.
What happens if I miss a routine?
Your streak resets if a routine is not completed on its scheduled day. You can still complete the routine manually, but missed days count as breaks in the streak.
How many routines can I add?
The free version supports up to 5 routine slots. A premium version with unlimited routines and all 11 creatures is planned for a future update.
How do I edit or delete a routine?
Tap any routine card on the Home screen to open the edit view. You can update any detail or tap Delete to remove it. Deleting a routine also cancels its scheduled alarm.
