Yes — and more than that, your transactions, account balances, and card details never leave your device at all. They're not uploaded to Firebase or any server, and aren't part of family sync. Only non-financial family data (members, insurance, vehicles, occasions) syncs between paired devices, over Google Firebase (asia-south1 region, ISO 27001 / SOC 1/2/3 / GDPR certified). We use Google Sign-In — no passwords are stored by us. Nothing is ever sold or shared with advertisers.

No. The AI model that categorises your transactions runs entirely on your phone using Google's LiteRT runtime — it's downloaded once (~2.6GB) and never contacts a server to process your SMS or transactions. The only exception is fully optional: if you manually tap "Report" on a misread SMS, a masked snippet (amounts, account numbers, and phone numbers scrubbed) is sent to us to improve accuracy — never automatic.

Family Intelligence reads incoming bank and card SMS messages on-device to extract transaction details. No message content is uploaded. You can decline the SMS permission — all other features continue to work normally with manual entry.

Yes — all modules work for a single user. Pairing enables real-time sync of non-financial family data between two devices. You can pair anytime after initial setup.

Because Family Intelligence uses Google Sign-In, your UID is stable across reinstalls, and your synced family data (members, insurance, vehicles, occasions) restores automatically from Firebase. Your financial data — transactions, accounts, balances — restores only from your own encrypted Google Drive backup, so we'd recommend enabling backup in Settings before you ever need it.

When you log a CC transaction, your bank balance is not affected — only the card's outstanding balance increases. When you pay the bill (Pay CC Bill), both the bank balance and the outstanding balance decrease. This mirrors real-world deferred billing.
