Download & Sign In

Get Spouse from the Google Play Store and sign in securely with your Google account.

  • Search "Spouse — Nalkudil Studio" on Play Store
  • Tap Install → Open
  • Tap "Sign in with Google"
  • Select your Google account
  • Allow notification permissions when prompted

Set Up Your Profile

Personalise your space before inviting your partner — it makes the experience feel like yours.

  • Set a nickname for yourself
  • Add your partner's name
  • Enter your anniversary date
  • Add both birthdays
  • Enable biometric lock (optional but recommended)

Pair With Your Partner

Spouse creates a private, encrypted space just for the two of you using a unique pairing code.

  • One partner opens Menu → Pairing
  • Tap "Generate Code" — share it with your partner
  • Partner enters the code on their device
  • Both devices confirm the pairing

Common Questions

Answers to the things couples ask us most.

Can my partner see my private journal entries? +
No. Journal entries marked as private are encrypted and visible only to you. Shared entries are visible to both partners. All content is encrypted using your unique couple ID — it cannot be read by anyone outside your pairing, including us.
How does the Love Meter score work? +
The Love Meter starts at 50 and goes up to 100. Every action — nudge, AMA answer, journal entry, goal, Surprise Mission — adds points. If both partners go quiet for a day, the score gently decays. You can turn decay off in Settings → Nuances. The score reflects effort, not perfection.
What happens if I disconnect my partner? +
Disconnecting removes the link between your two accounts. Your data — journals, memories, goals — stays safely in the cloud. Neither partner loses their history. You can re-pair at any time using a new pairing code. Go to Settings → Partnership → Disconnect Partner.
Is my data private and encrypted? +
Yes — absolutely. All sensitive content is encrypted on your device before being stored. Your couple ID is the encryption key — even we cannot read your content. Data is stored on Google Firebase (ISO 27001 and GDPR compliant). We do not sell your data, show ads, or use your content for AI training.
How do I change my nickname? +
Open the side drawer (tap your profile photo top left) → tap My Profile. Update your nickname, your partner's nickname, anniversary date, and birthday. Changes reflect immediately across the app.
What is Resonance and how is it calculated? +
Resonance is your compatibility snapshot across 5 dimensions — Values Affinity, Habits Sync, Love Language Resonance, Fun Factor, and Communication. Both partners answer independently and the app generates a radar chart. It's not a grade — it's a conversation starter. Access it from the drawer → Resonance.
Can I use Spouse without pairing with a partner? +
Some features like the personal journal (Memories) and Bucket List work solo. However the core experience — Nudge, AMA reveals, Love Meter, Pulse, Honesty Hub — requires both partners to be paired. We recommend pairing before exploring so you get the full Spouse experience from day one.
