Your data is stored securely on Google Firebase, used only to operate the app, and never sold, shared with advertisers, or used for AI training.

Section 01

Information We Collect

Information you provide directly:

Account details — name and email via Google Sign-In
Financial data — transactions, account balances, credit card details, loan records, recurring items
Family data — occasions, appointments, school records, grocery lists, home planner tasks, insurance, contacts
Family structure — member names and roles (SELF / SPOUSE)
Pairing data — a unique family ID generated when two devices are linked

Collected automatically:

Android version and device model for Firebase crash reporting only
No advertising IDs, no location data, no microphone or camera access

Section 02

SMS Permission

Family Manager requests SMS permission for the SMS Auto-Parse feature, which reads incoming bank and card messages to automatically extract transaction details.

SMS reading happens entirely on your device
No SMS content is uploaded to our servers
Only extracted transaction data (amount, merchant, date) is stored in Firebase
You can decline the SMS permission — all other features continue to work normally
The SMS permission is never used for any other purpose

How We Use Your Data

We use your data solely to operate Family Manager:

To sync financial and family data between your paired devices in real time
To calculate your monthly dashboard, cashflow projection, and loan schedules
To send push notifications for occasion reminders and bill due dates you have opted into
To improve stability through anonymised Firebase crash reports

We never: sell your data · share with advertisers · use your financial content for AI training

Section 04

Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on Google Firebase (Firestore) in the asia-south1 region (Mumbai, India). Firebase is certified under ISO 27001, SOC 1/2/3, and GDPR.

Authentication is handled by Google Sign-In — your password is managed by Google, not us
Biometric lock (if enabled) is processed entirely on-device using Android's BiometricManager
Firebase Security Rules restrict each family's data to authenticated members of that family only

Third-Party Services

Google Firebase Cloud Messaging	Push notifications for reminders and alerts

No advertising SDKs, analytics trackers, or other third-party services are included.

Section 06

Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at nalkudilstudio@gmail.com. We will permanently delete your data within 30 days of your request.

Section 07

Children's Data

Family Manager is designed for adults managing a household. Children's names and school or appointment information entered by parents is:

Accessible only to the parents of that family
Never shared or sold to any third party
Deleted along with the parent's account upon request

Your Rights

You may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data. Contact us at nalkudilstudio@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Policy Changes

We may update this policy as the app evolves. We will notify you of significant changes via an in-app notice. The 'Last Updated' date at the top of this page always reflects the most recent version.
