Section 01

Information We Store Locally

When you use Metal Price Estimator, the following information is saved solely inside your phone's private storage:

Jewellery Valuation History: Item names, gross weights, stone deductions, net weights, wastage (VA) in grams and percentages, making charges, and 3% GST figures.
Custom Metal Rates: Your configured spot board rates for 24K, 22K (916), 18K, 14K, Silver, and Platinum.
Display Preferences: Selected currency symbol, default weight unit (Grams, Pavans, Tolas), and UI theme (Obsidian Dark / Light Ivory).

None of this information is ever sent to Nalkudil Studio or any third party.

Section 02

Offline Architecture & Absence of Internet Access

Metal Price Estimator does not request or possess the android.permission.INTERNET permission in its Android Manifest. It is technologically impossible for the app to connect to any remote server, API endpoint, ad provider, or analytics service.

Section 03

Local Room SQLite Database & Biometrics

All valuation logs and assets are stored in a local Android Room SQLite database within the app's sandboxed data partition. If you enable the optional Biometric App Lock, access to your valuation history is guarded by Android's hardware Keystore (Fingerprint / Face / Device PIN).

Section 04

Quote Sharing & Native Intents

When you use the "Share Quote" feature, formatted text or quote summaries are handed directly to Android's native system share sheet (e.g., to WhatsApp or Messaging). Metal Price Estimator does not log, track, or monitor what application you choose to share with.

Section 05

Third-Party Libraries & Telemetry

We do not bundle any ad SDKs, analytics trackers, or user profiling tools. All calculation routines (stone deduction, wastage percentage, Pavan/Tola conversion, compounding appreciation) are compiled directly within the app binary.

Section 06

Data Retention & Control

You have complete control over your history and records:

You can delete individual valuation entries or clear all history in the History screen.
Uninstalling the app or clearing storage in Android settings erases 100% of your records immediately and permanently.

Section 07

Children's Privacy

Metal Price Estimator does not collect personal data from anyone, including children under 13.

Statutory Compliance (DPDP Act 2023)

By confining all data to the user's personal hardware and never transmitting personal identifiers, Metal Price Estimator fully complies with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 principles of purpose limitation and data minimization.
